PROFILE OF AMBE CEMENT PVT LTD NEPAL





Brief Profile Of Ambe Cement Pvt. Ltd., Nepal.
Company:

1.       The Company has been established in 2004 under name of Ambe Cement Pvt. Ltd., in Lipani Birta VDC-6, Distric- Parsa, Nepal for manufacturing Ordinary Portland Cement (O.P.C.) / Portland Pozalana Cement (P.P.C.) / Portland Slag Cement (PSC) and our plant came in commercial production in July 2005.

2.       Factory Site: The Plant site is in Lipani Birta VDC - 6, Parsa, Birganj Nepal. Close to Indian Boarder (10 km. from Raxaul, East Champaran, Bihar, India). Having Indian Railway siding for Nepal in Raxaul.

3.       Land - 110 Katha (110 Katha @ 3645 sqft = 4,00,950 sqft. Approx).

4.       Promoters of the Company.

5.       Plant Grinding Capacity:
          1st Plant: Grinding Unit - Close Circuit of 300 MT per Day Capacity Running since June 2005. The Plant is purchased from Chandarpur Works, Haryana (India).
         
          2nd Plant: Grinding Unit - Close Circuit of 300 MT per Day Capacity Running since June 2006. The Plant is purchased from Chandarpur Works, Haryana (India).
         
          3rd Plant: Grinding Unit - Close Circuit of 400 MT per Day Capacity Running since June 2011. The Plant is purchased from Chandarpur Works, Haryana (India).
So, from 1st Sept ' 2011 on wards our total grinding capacity will be 1000 MT per day (3.00 Lac MT per Annum)
Our company has got Production & Sale in Financial Year of Nepal (i.e. From 17/07/2006 to 16/07/2007) we have sold 15.00 Lacks bags, (17/07/2007 to 16/07/2008) 20.00 Lacks bags (17/07/2008 to 16/07/2009) 26.00 Lacks Bags, (17/07/2009 to 16/07/2010) 30 Lack Bags and (17/07/2010 to 16/07/2011) 34 Lacks Bags Approx of PPC/OPC/PSC Cement in whole of Nepal.

This year our expectation of sale with Two Plants of 1000 TPD (50.00 Lack bags) in Nepal at our present production capacity.



6.       Testing Facility: We have full flagged Laboratory with latest testing equipments & other facilities for Chemical & Physical testing of Raw Material & Cement. We have qualified chemist from South Indian.
Nepal Standard  (NS-385): We have been honored with Nepal Standard Marking for our P.P.C. Cement by the BIS authority in Nepal.
ISO (ISO 9001:2000): Certification by UKAS Quality Management (URS -043-A)  
We are producing Cement in the Brand name "AMBE" at present.

7.       The advantage of setting up this Unit is:
          In Nepal, Major demand of Cement is met by importing cement from India. The present demand of cement in Nepal is for about 3.50 million tons per annum, which is rapidly increasing with the fast pace of development in the country. By setting up this unit in country, the cost of production will be lowered and cement will be manufactured as per the local demand. The unit will contribute towards the industrialization of the country, utilization of local resources & giving employment to the local people. Due to nearness to the market and understanding of the local needs, high quality cement as per International standard can be produced.



8.       Market:
The Cement Industries in Nepal had its inception in 1975 when the Himal Cement Company Pvt. Ltd. commenced its production. In 1986, the second cement plant namely Hetauda Cement Ltd. of 750 T/D capacity based on dry process rotary kiln was established. Two more mini cement Plants, namely Triveni Cement and Annapurna Cement, were commissioned in 1987. Later, Udaipur Cement, Maruti Cement, Vishwakarma Cement, Dynesty Cement and Gorkha Cement, Jagdamba Cement, Pashupati Cement, Brij Cement, Narayani Cement, Sidartha Cement, Butwal Cement, Shree Cement, Star Cement, Shalimar Cement, Cosmos Cement, Reliance Cement, RMC Cement, Agani Cement, Krishna Cement came in production, as of now is about total daily production 6000 MT.

Based on 15.8 million as the total population in 1990 - 91 and total consumption of cement as estimated by Holtech of India in 1990 - 91 was 480,000 tonnes, the per capita consumption of cement works out to approximately 30 kg which is very low in comparison to per capita consumption of same other neighboring countries.

Bangladesh           :         60 kg.
Sri Lanka              :         66 kg.
   

9.       Demand Forecast of Cement in Nepal.
Using the above assumptions, cement demand has been forecast. The real growth rate in GNP and GFI for the forecasting period is taken as 12%. This seems to be an achievable figure specially taking into account the real growth rate 13% and 14% for GNP and GFI during the last few years.
